Overview:
The NICU masterclass is designed to cover a wide range of evidence-based topics, which are the following:
- Management of neonatal hypoglycemia.
- Approach to jaundice in neonates and management.
- Nutrition in NICU for term and pre-term babies.
- Fluid and electrolyte management in NICU.
Participants who successfully complete this masterclass will be awarded with a certificate of participation.

Learning Objectives:
at the conclusion of the masterclass, learners will be able to:
- Identify neonates at risk for neonates hypoglycemia and how to manage them.
- Understand and differentiate physiological, pathological and prolonged neonatal jaundice.
- Identify indications of phototherapy, IVIG and exchange transfusion.
- Acknowledge the principles of enteral and parental nutrition in NICU for term and pre-term babies.
- Learn importance of human milk fortification.
- Understand fluid management of sick neonates in NICU settings.
- Manage various electrolyte abnormalities and AKI.
